Getting Organized and Disciplined

Filed under: Uncategorized — Aiden @ 1:49 pm

I have been working hard lately and it hasn’t been online. This has led to a little slacking off here, but I think it will be worth it. You see, I must admit that I am a horrible housekeeper. I get easily distracted and am the biggest procrastinator I have ever met (or heard of). I hate cleaning and cooking and as such try to avoid it. However, I really need to make all of my online endevors work well so that my husband and I can make all our dreams come true. I have come to feel that this can only happen if we are really really disciplined. That kind of discipline is something that doesn’t come naturally to me and will take a lot of work.

This is what I have been working on. Step one is getting the house really really clean and organized. This isn’t that easy since we have tons of stuff and it seems no where to put it. However, the kitchen is looking loads better as is the living room. The dinning room is getting there and I feel accomplished after three days of working on it. I am no where near done, but one day at a time is all I can do.

Step two is figuring out how to maintain it. We often plan on picking up at the end of the day and then we don’t. This lets things pile up and become overwhelming. Having a messy two year old and two adults who don’t pick up after themselves make the house look like a tornado whipped through it after a single day. The schedules we have tried to use to keep up on laundry, dishes, and picking up haven’t worked so I have to find something that does work and then stick to it.

Step three is to figure out how to cook every night. I hate cooking and it is hard for me to keep it up. I would much rather go out to eat (even if it means spending a few dollars and going fast food style). Over the past several years (five or so) this has become an addiction to me and it is hard for me to go more then three or four days without going out and the weekends are the worst. Our budget needs to be cut back so our savings is increased and this isn’t easy to do. One area that could be done is the eating out factor and therefore I have to figure out how to cook each meal.

Step four is to get all of my work organized so that I am producing the most amount of material that I can and increasing my passive earnings as well as my daily earnings. This isn’t necessarily and easy thing to do because planning how much can get done each day with Marcus here is hard to do. Some days he is really good about playing by his self and I can get ten to fifteen articles written plus update each blog. Other days he is horrible about it and I am lucky to get even one done. No matter what, now is the time to make sure every step of my work is organized to make sure that I am getting enough done to grow my income faster then ever before.

Those are the four steps I need to accomplish right now for better living, life, work, and hopefully helping us to accomplish our dreams. I also need to find time to make jewelry and to work on getting my book done. These two things have slacked off some which is scary. I have my first Texas craft fair on October 11th and 12th. Hopefully we do well and walk away a lot richer then we are today. Of course, it won’t take much!

Fluctuations, Planning, and Building

Filed under: All, Thoughts About Making Money Online — Aiden @ 1:38 pm

Earning online is often something that fluctuates. It isn’t easy to plan it all out. Last month I had just over three hundred dollars in sponsored posts. This month it is doubtful that I will make that much money from sponsored posts. My page rank has gone down and it is looking like it will be hard to get a few sponsored posts, let alone enough for three hundred dollars worth of earnings.

Planning ahead for such difficulties is really important. It isn’t always easy, but having a back up plan is the only way that you can really continue making a lot of money each month, no matter what fluctuations happen in the online world.

Building everything up is really important. You need to have several baskets growing income so that if one becomes less profitable it will be okay with the other things that you have going on. It isn’t always easy to figure out what baskets to build your work in, but you should have five at the least and work toward having ten or more. That way you will have income coming in all over and are more likely to make it no matter what.

Personal Loans

Filed under: Sponsored Posts — Aiden @ 10:18 am

Financial struggle is something many of us deal with. Whether you are on your own with a single paycheck, a family that works hard to get the two paychecks, or a family with a stay at home mom or dad. It often boils down to a financial struggle. Unfortunate turns of events can make it hard to get out of debt and to work through all of the problems that you face. Unsecured Personal Loans can be the perfect answer. Whether you have great credit or bad credit you can find a loan that is right for you and that can help you through the problems in your life. This has been a sponsored post.

AC Calls for Content

Filed under: All, Associated Content — Aiden @ 10:14 am

i know that I often talk about programs like people have experience in them. It is through talking like this that I have gotten the question “What are Calls?” from those who are looking at making money with Associated Content. Calls for Content (often simply called “calls”) is a program that AC offers to give people ideas to write about.

Often times they are related to popular searches, news or events, or other things that people may want more information or an opinion about. AC will write up a job description and you can claim the call if you can meet these needs. The job will also have a price on it. This lets you choose articles you can write that you are guranteed a certain price for.

Many of them are $3-5. However, I have taken a couple of easy ones that were only worth $2 and seen some that as high as $10 though I wasn’t able to write for them. This program is great if you have a hard time coming up with ideas, are struggling to come up with articles that make upfront payment, or if you are looking for some fast cash. These articles get reviewed faster then other ones and are published right away if they follow the requirements of the call.

It can be simple and fast. Plus it can increase your earnings. You may be like me. I have a hard time finding calls I can actually write. However, when I do find calls I can usually write more then one in the list. My last call articles were on home decorating and building. I could have written an article about creating your own desk, as well as using metallics in decorating, and building your own wooden organizers.

Calls for Content are always found in your message section. Click on the title for the details as well as to find out how much it is worth. You can then choose to claim the call (you will have however long is left on the listing to submit it) or close the box and move on. Once you have claimed the job you will have the time listed in days to submit the work. To submit it you don’t go through the normal publishing route. Instead click on the claimed article title, then click submit, and follow the instructions that way. It will make it possible for you to submit the claim and get paid for it.

One way to increase your AC earnings-Calls.

HowToDoThings.com-Earning Points

Many of the sites I write for have some sort of points system. Sometimes these are just for fun and other times there is a purpose and a reward for doing well. HowToDoThings.com has a very good reward system. You gain points by signing up (one time ten points), for publishing articles (twenty points), for publishing requested articles (fifty points), and for commenting on articles (one point). These points all go toward your book levels.

Book levels explained.

HowToDoThings.com has a system in place where the more points you earn, the more books you get in the stack (books are just the visual aspect of this system), and the more rewards you get. With each new level you get more advantages.

Status
Novice Writer Enthusiast Authority
Reward 10 - 29 30 - 99 100 - 249 250+
Inclusion in Most Popular and Most Recent homepage article listings ? ? ? ?
Profile may be featured on homepage Member Spotlight ? ? ?
Article(s) may be featured on the category pages ? ? ?
Article(s) may be promoted on the homepage ? ? ?
Article(s) may be featured as top “How to” on the homepage ? ?
Dedicated RSS feed of your published articles ?

The goal then for any writer would be to work their way up to being an authority so that they have an RSS feed that readers can use to keep up on your work. However that isn’t the only advantage to getting a lot of points. The top ten authors (based on points) get their name and link on the homepage. This can draw in more traffic and be very useful to an author. As I write this the top user based on his points is Jason Kay who has worked hard to accumulate 1170 points. This is a lot compared with my 468 and lets me know that I need to work harder to make it on the list (I was there for a long time but got bumped off) and even harder to make it to the top.

Using points as a way to get yourself more recognition is easy to do and makes it something to work for. Get started today to increase your earnings. (I am currently making more then $40 a month and looking at hitting at least $50 this month).

Future

Filed under: Sponsored Posts — Aiden @ 9:19 am

Knowing the future isn’t easy to figure out. However, when debt seems to crowd the present and life is looking dull and painful it is important to take a look and see how financially fit you are. BillsIQ offers a number of resources and lots of information. They even have a Debt relief page packed full of information. There you can also take a financial IQ test to see where you stand. I got an 87% on this test giving me a B. My weak points are easily identified in not saving well. However, we are working on getting that under control.

Most of us live day to day and week to week surviving from one check to another. We struggle when things come up that wouldn’t other wise be expected and we find ourselves in trouble. This site has the answers to get out of debt, to set up a savings account for emergencies, and to invest in your future. The future is often a dark and hazy thing, but if you work hard to make it bright it can be. It doesn’t have to be something unachievable. It just has to be something worked toward.

If Saving Money

Were easy, we would all be set

instead we find debt.

Now is the time to get the help you need and to learn the things that you need. After all, you can have a better today and a better tomorrow!

August Earnings

Filed under: Uncategorized — Aiden @ 9:06 am

August had a huge jump at the beginning of the month. This means that I didn’t make as much as I thought I might. None the less, I am feeling pretty good about what I made and how I made it.

I worked hard with sponsored posts and made a lot of money. It is doubtful that I will make this much this month since I lost page ranks on all my blogs. However, in the end this is how it broke down.

Sponsored Reviews $29.25

PayPerPost $112.18

Blogitive $5

Social Spark $58.14

CREAMaid $10

Smorty $18
Blog Advertising - Get Paid to Blog

Blogsvertise $6

PayU2Blog $65

Total for sponsored posts-$303.57

Other then the sponsored posts I made a little bit of non-passive money from a couple of programs.

Helium Contests $40

Helium Reward-athon $21

Associated Content Upfront Payments $33.42

Total active Income-$94.42

I got passive income from a few sources. The one that includes a number of different sites is Google Adsense so that will be broken down for you.

HowToDoThings.com $48.71

Hubpages $10.64

Google Adsense Total Earnings-$59.35

Other Passive Earnings-

Helium $107.39

Associated Content $3.94

Triond $0.50

eHow $10.74

Kontera (on Hubpages) $2.08

Chikita (on blog) $0.01

Total passive earnings-$122.58

There are still a few odds and ends that make me money in various ways. I haven’t made a ton with them this month, but I have made some.

myLot $2.88

Homepages Friends $5.20

Odds and ends total-$8.08

With a lot of work and some satisfaction I can say that I made a total of $598.70. This is more then I have made in a long time. It is true that I worked harder for it then I have in a long time, but this is a good sign.

The truly important parts that I would like to point out is that while it is a slow growth, my passive earnings have increased from the month before and the month before that. This is good news for anyone working to make money using their writing.

Vacation is Over

Filed under: Uncategorized — Aiden @ 8:06 am

In some ways it is a relief that vacation is over. After all, I have been worrying about this and that at home and most of it was work related. This vacation left me without a way to work. Which meant that I really enjoyed the beach, the woods, and the time off. I also enjoyed having so many people to talk with. I usually spend most of my time with my two year old. However, vacation gave me lots and lots of people to talk to and about a wide range of subjects.

None the less…I am glad that I can get back to work. I have so much I want to do! September is over a week in and I definitely feel behind!

It can also make it less expensive for you because they will help you with negotiations and other aspects of buying a house.

Finding and affording the perfect house has never been this easy and this affordable. It is that simple and you can get started today without any hassle! Take a deep breath and enjoy the process of finding your next home.

Introduction to Writing Campus

Filed under: All, Writers Campus — Aiden @ 10:53 am

Writing Campus is a place where you can post any writing that you want. They have a wide range of things and it is an interesting site. While not as well organized as some and not as large as others, it seems to have a nice amount of traffic. Each of your articles or blog entries are labeled “blogs”, but you can write about anything. The more you write the more points you get and the more money you can make. I haven’t done much here, but will be in the coming days and have made some money on the one article that I wrote. Items are published immediately so you don’t have to wait for an editor or any of that stuff.

You make money with 50% of your Google Adsense. The sad thing about this site is that they make money with 50% Google Adsense and all of Kontera in text ads. This is sad because most people report some Google Adsense earnings decreases with Kontera ads. This means that no matter what, the site is making more money then you are.

On the other hand, if you are just looking for places to write this one seems to be easy, as well as a decent earner. I will be working here more in the coming days and finding out more.

Introduction to CREAMaid

Filed under: All, CREAMaid — Aiden @ 8:54 am

CREAMaid is a sponsored post site that does things a lot differently. Here you will go and check to see if there is a job opportunity. Rather then creating an account and hoping that your blog will be accepted you can take the job. Write it on any blog and if it is accepted you are e-mailed a notice that includes a link to request payment. You then get paid within 24 hours.

Pros-

  • You can write your entry on any blog as long as you follow the directions that are given for the job.
  • Some are worth a nice sum of money and I have made as much as $20.
  • You get a referral fee if someone follows the post from your site and writes one of their own that gets accepted.
  • Payment is fast.

Cons-

  • It can take a long time to be accepted and you don’t ever know if you aren’t accepted. Months later you could get paid for something you had forgotten that you wrote.
  • There really aren’t very many jobs here. One or two a month and sometimes not even that.
  • There aren’t a wide range of jobs. It isn’t surprising considering the number of jobs there are, but it is often sad.

All in all, CREAMaid can make you a little money, but not much. It is nice getting paid so quickly after being accepted, but you just don’t know if you are accepted and that can be frustrating.

Seafood Cook Off

Filed under: Uncategorized — Aiden @ 9:53 pm

Once a year, chefs from all over the United States gather in Louisiana for the Great American Seafood Cook Off. Americans from all over can go to www.greatamericanseafoodcookoff.com and gather fantastic seafood recipes and even vote for their favorites. After carefully reviewing the top five recipes I think that Chef Mark Holly certainly has something worth talking about. This Texas chef has presented a shrimp dish using Texas Gulf Shrimp that top hominy cakes with tomato relish and prickly pear gastrique. This makes for a unique combination and also gives seafood lovers a chance to try something new with prickly pear cactus which has a lot to offer, but isn’t that common.

Of course the site is full of fantastic seafood recipes from several states. Each of these recipes can add life and ideas to your own kitchens. There are many benefits to using domestic and local seafood including the fact that it is fresher, local, and has a great taste. To top it all off, seafood is healthier then many other food options and can be tasty in a wide variety of ways.

You can check out the site, discover new recipes, add your vote, and keep up on the news of the Great American Seafood cook off. Plus adding your vote will give you the chance to win a trip to New Orleans! Which is the perfect reason to head over there now and add your vote! With a wide range of recipes and a whole lot of options using fish, shrimp, and other seafoods there is something that is sure to meet your fancy! You can even find options that include several types of seafoods all in one plate and tastes from Alaska to Texas and in between. After all, there is even a recipe from Kentucky that will meet your bluegrass needs!

eHow Earnings

Filed under: All, eHow — Aiden @ 8:15 pm

eHow is a site that is designed to have a wide range of how to articles posted. Here you can write anything and it isn’t edited. You simply go through the process and publish your work how you want it. Your article is received better if it contains pictures or video and the step by step method often works very well with pictures. The articles then make an unknown amount of money according to the articles earnings.

It should be noted that this site is fairly easy to write for an any thing you know how to do can be turned into a how to article. In addition to that the more articles you write the better off your monthly earnings will be.

  • Sadly eHow only pays Americans with a PayPal account.
  • Payout is at $10 and then paid the following month.
  • Writing a number of articles can earn you a great amount of money. Rumor has it that some are earning as much as $300 a month. I am up to $10 a month and don’t know how high that I can go. (But will be sure to let you know as I get there).
  • Any thing that you know can be turned into an article!

Earning from eHow is easy to do and can be done as you build up a library of articles on this site. It should also be noted that pictures can be added later as can other editing options.
